Prof. Dr. Maksim Haxhia, founding partner of Haxhia & Hajdari Attorneys at Law, is one of Albania’s leading criminal lawyers, renowned for his expertise and dedication to justice. He has represented high-profile clients, including the former Minister of Interior Affairs and the former Governor of the Bank of Albania.

A graduate of the University of Tirana in both Law and Economics, Prof. Dr. Haxhia holds numerous academic titles, including “Professor.” He has completed specializations both in Albania and abroad, notably at Harvard University. His career highlights include serving as Attorney General of Albania in 1992 and as President of the National Chamber of Advocacy since 2000. He also plays a key role in the education of future legal professionals as a lecturer and Chairman of the Scientific Committee at the School of Advocacy.

Prof. Dr. Haxhia has been instrumental in drafting key Albanian legislation, including the 1998 Constitution and laws on asset declaration and the legal profession. He has published extensively on legal reforms and ethics, and continues to be a respected figure in Albania’s legal community.
